The Mid-term Review Training targets the requirements provided by EIT Health headquarters:

PURPOSE OF MID-TERM REVIEWS
The goal of the Mid-term Reviews is to discuss activity progress to date, review the amendments that were submitted as part of the BP amendment, check if support is needed, and project the course of action until year-end. For activities that continue in 2020, the evaluators will be looking at your plans for the next year.

EVALUATION PROCESS
Participation in the Mid-term Review of the project’s leader, as well as the main partners within the activity, will be mandatory and will follow the below principles: face-to-face meeting with external reviewers.
Mid-term Review must be considered a Go/No-Go stage gate. A scorecard will guide the process, and independent evaluators will propose a concerted approach to the Director of Innovation.

Three possible outcomes will be then considered:

  • Continue the project.
  • Continue the project with some necessary amendments.
  • Stop the project and the funding.

MID-TERM REVIEW DURATION
The hearing itself will be for a maximum of 65 minutes: 20 minutes maximum for a presentation followed my a maximum of 45 minutes for an open question and answer session by the Evaluation Board.

FEEDBACK BY EVALUATORS
As a result of the meeting, evaluators will produce the feedback report for each activity with recommendations and a conclusion:

  • Green- continue activity as planned
  • Yellow- make changes to some parts of the activity to ensure its success and impact
  • Red- stop the activity due to the underperformance.

The feedback will also focus on activity’s future plans and sustainability.
